  • As one of the main hospitals in Riverside County, RUHS has the privilege of being the safety net hospital of the 10th most populous county in the US. We serve a diverse patient population of approximately 90,000 patients/year, including those from the county prison. Even though we are a Riverside County hospital, we routinely accept patients from hospitals far outside of county lines.

  • Given the long history as a teaching hospital, the attendings and staff are eager to help learners across the different specialties. Our residents are not limited to procedures by year, and most have already either seen or done a vast variety of procedures from thoracotomies to transvenous pacers.

  • Approximately once a year, volunteers will accompany our very own Dr. Loe to an underserved country and deliver quality healthcare to its citizens. This allows us the opportunity to enrich ourselves in their culture and provide them with basic medical care not limited to antibiotics, wound care, and ultrasound-based diagnostics.

  • We have a variety of services available at our disposal to best provide quality healthcare to our patients. We are linked with the county psychiatric facility, so patient are able to go directly from the ED to get help. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, we have all surgical services available 24/7 from general surgery to vascular surgery to orthopedic surgery. We also have many other services around the clock, such as, but not limited to, Ob/Gyn, interventional radiology, ophthalmology, ENT, and urology.
